The Rides

Come join us for a wonderful Fall day of riding within the City of Rocklin. The 2nd Annual Tour de Rocklin offers easy parking at Whitney High School, multiple routes to choose from, rest stops on the 10 Mile, 20 Mile, and the 100K routes. There will be a post-ride lunch for all the riders.

Family 5-Mile Ride: Map of the Family 5 Mile Ride

Riders choosing the Family 5-Mile Ride will enjoy a great course designed for families to enjoy a day of cycling.  Riders will leave Whitney Ranch Park and ride along the bike trails in the Whitney Ranch Community. The Family 5 Mile Ride is intended for families with younger children to ride together and enjoy a Fall day. Riders will pass by the home of the newest elementary school, Sunset Ranch, within the district. Riders will climb a total of 200 feet within the the City of Rocklin.  All the registered Family 5-Mile riders will receive a water bottle, a map of the course, SAG support, and a post-ride lunch back at Whitney Ranch Park.

10 Mile Ride:  Map of the 10 Mile Ride

Riders choosing the 10 Mile Ride will leave Whitney Ranch Park and ride through city streets and residential neighborhoods in Rocklin.  Riders will ride pass four (4) elementary schools, and one high school within the Rocklin Unified School District.  The 10 Mile Ride will take the riders by the newest elementary school, Sunset Ranch, within the school district.  Riders will climb a total of 231 feet within the city of Rocklin.  All the registered 10 Mile riders will receive a water bottle, a map of the course, SAG support, there will be one well stocked rest stop, and a post-ride lunch back at Whitney Ranch Park.

20 Mile Ride: Map of the 20 Mile Ride

Riders will leave Whitney Ranch Park and ride through city streets and residential neighborhoods in Rocklin. Riders will ride pass one high school, five (5) elementary schools, and one middle school within the Rocklin Unified School District. The 20 Mile Ride also takes you by the newest elementary school, Sunset Ranch, within the district. Riders will experience 525 feet of climbing in just 20 short miles within the City of Rocklin.  All the registered 20 Mile riders will receive a water bottle, a map of the course, SAG support, there will be two (2) well stocked rest stops, and a post-ride lunch back at Whitney Ranch Park.

100K (Metric Century): Map of the 100K Ride

Riders will leave Whitney Ranch Park and ride through city streets and residential neighborhoods in Rocklin. The first part of this 100K ride is like riding a road course; a lot of quick turns to get the riders warmed up. Then the riders will then ride out the north end of Rocklin toward Loomis and then into Penryn. At the 28.5 mile marker, riders will discover a cycling rest stop called the Trailhead Coffee & Cycling Lounge at the corner of English Colony Way and Taylor Road. After the Trailhead Coffee & Cycling Lounge rest stop, the riders head east toward Auburn Folsom Road. As the riders turn south and head down Auburn Folsom Road toward Granite Bay, they will encounter another unique cycling rest stop called the Flower Farm Inn at the corner of Auburn Folsom Road & Horseshoe Bar Road. The riders will then head back down Auburn Folsom Road to Granite Bay, and then swing northwest back toward Rocklin. Riders will climb a total of 1,463 feet within the city of Rocklin, and in the foothills of Southern Placer County.  All the registered 100K riders will receive a water bottle, a map of the course, SAG support, there will be five (5) well stocked rest stops, and a post-ride lunch back at Whitney Ranch Park.
